Once you have more than one thing connected, records could go to more than one place, and we ask instead of guessing. That question lives in Settings → Where your data goes. This explains what it is asking.
Your CRM, Keap or HighLevel, both holds records and receives them. WooCommerce holds people and orders and never receives anything, because your shop is where a purchase happens and not somewhere a CRM’s records belong. QuickBooks receives revenue and nothing else: it has no pipeline and no attribution to hold.
That is why the page asks about fewer things than you might expect. If you ever wondered where the question about your QuickBooks deals went, there was never one to ask.
A pair with more than one legal destination stays put and says not chosen yet. That is deliberate: quietly picking one and being wrong means records in a system you did not intend, and undoing that is somebody’s afternoon.
Every row has a do not sync this option, and choosing it is a decision rather than a blank. The question stops being asked, and your Status page says the flow is off by your choice rather than pretending it was never set up. You can undo it whenever you like.
Any connection can be marked protected from writes. Nothing is ever written there, custom fields included: a customer who says read only did not mean “read only except for the ten fields we would like to add”. Turning it on also clears any route pointing at it, so the page never describes a flow that cannot happen.
WooCommerce Sync is its own pipeline with its own switch, so if it already sends your orders to QuickBooks it keeps doing that whatever you choose here. Where that is the case the page says so, and stops offering QuickBooks as though the two were alternatives.
Running Keap and HighLevel together is supported and is usually a migration in progress. One is the source of truth and the other goes read only, so the same contact cannot be written from both directions. If you are moving between them for real, read how a migration works first.
